Again and Again, It Never Ends

Knocked down again
Put back in my place
Smacked down again
Exposing my shame

Should have known better
Then to crawl out of my hole
I don’t belong here
I belong all alone

As much as I’d like someone
Anyone
Even a casual friend
Just to chat every now and then...

I can’t get along
I don’t belong
I don’t deserve contact
I have a disease you might contract

You shouldn’t risk it
Being close to me
I’m not worth your time
I’m not worth your care

Write down your list
And send it through email
I need to know why I’m bad
But don’t look into my limpid eyes

My spirit is broken
I no longer care
I have been domesticated
But still left to wander the wild

I now understand
Why girls are tempted
To fuck anyone interested
To be loved for a few fleeting moments

I now understand
Why women stay with men
That will black their eyes and bruise their souls
It’s because there are times when they still feel loved

And it scares me
Because I am about to cross that boundary
I’m ready to become like them
Another pathetic woman- just begging to be loved

I cause so many problems
I have emotional issues
Don’t look upon my flesh
You may be tempted to save me

But I’m not worth it
I’ll just hurt you too
I can’t help it
Like an ogre that doesn’t know it’s own strength

As much as I try to love you
I’ll just crush your soul
So break my spirit first
And leave me alone

It’s not my loneliness that chains me
My dungeon is my self-made hell
So banish me
Where no one can hear me yell

It’s lonely down here
But it’s what I deserve
As much as I'd like someone
Just to hold me, and stroke my curves

A lonely monster
Unaware of my power
In my invectives
And in my actions

I’ll rot away
Just forget I’m here
I’ll stay quiet
And you'll have nothing to fear
